Tropical Storm Washi moved on Sunday, after devastating a large portion of the mountainous region on Mindanao Island. Flash floods claimed at least 900 people, most while they were sleeping Friday night. As many as 458 others have been reported missing.

Thousands of rescuers have been mobilized to help in rescue efforts, but many have been hampered by washed out roads and no electricity.
